Yinka Alli-Balogun

Yinka Alli-Balogun is the Director for Projects UK, for the African Achievers Awards. A recent graduate from a local government Traineeship and has been actively involved in the African Achievers Awards since its creation.

Yinka holds a Bachelors of Arts in History, Philosophy and Politics from Lancaster University and a Masters of Arts in Culture, Diversity and Identity Studies from The University of Hull. Yinka has had the privilege to be involved in a number of exciting African led initiatives such as the International Conference of Nigerian Students in Diaspora or ICONS which is arranged annually by XN Foundation.

Over the years Yinka’s role and responsibility has advanced in this organisation beginning as a student representative to her current role as Executive Secretary. In addition, Yinka has worked to build capacity within Africa and African’s through training current leaders with the African Business School and future leaders and citizens through a number of forums.

Her vision for Africa is simply for it to become a place of great achievement not only potential and believes members of the Diaspora are joining hands with those across the Continent to play a significant role in realising this dream – SO WE NEED TO SHOUT ABOUT IT! Yinka believes that the sooner we harness the dynamic source of hope and change derived from positive stories and examples, the closer we are to the collective acceptance that change is possible for all of Africa, it is happening right now and we should all be part of it!
